Rooted in Tradition, Shared with Community

Nhau was built from a simple love for authentic food, great cocktails, and the joy of sharing them with others. Inspired by the feeling of missing home and the comfort found in familiar flavours, we set out to create a place where culture, hospitality, and connection come together.

Like many immigrants, we came to Canada carrying both excitement and uncertainty. Over time, this place became home, but the longing for the flavours, memories, and comforts we grew up with never quite went away. Back then, finding Vietnamese food that truly tasted like home wasn't always easy, and eating out often felt like a luxury. So we cooked. We shared meals with family and friends. And somewhere along the way, a dream began to grow.

That dream became Nhau.

The journey has been far from easy. It has taken years of learning, sacrifice, countless hours, and more mistakes than we can count. There were moments of doubt, moments of starting over, and moments when giving up would have been easier. But through it all, we kept going, guided by our love for food, our pride in our culture, and our desire to share it with others.

Today, every dish and every cocktail we serve carries a piece of that journey. We are deeply grateful to the community that has welcomed us, supported us, and allowed us to grow.
